Geneva Latino Festival

Hi all… I am RAFAEL DIAZ, the main organizer of

the Geneva Latino Festival

I am very happy for the event held on Saturday June 14th, 2014 at Bicentennial Park where we had for the first time the 3rd Annual Geneva Latino Festival organized by yours only, Rafael Diaz who year after year works hard to make this event the ultimate entertainment and fun. This festival honors and celebrates the cultures of my country and others giving the opportunity for the public to enjoy in traditional music and cultural cuisine as other activities such as Domino and dances that have to do with the Hispanic culture.

Rafael Diaz who after the celebrations goes out to gather information from attendees says that he and his committee are working to please everyone. The organizing committee of the Geneva Festival composed of a small group of six people are Rafael – President, Hugo Acosta – Publicist, DJ Felix and Master of Ceremony Javier Rivera are stage organizers and José Mora – Secretary. All together with a common goal which is to make this the best festival with more time to please the public who Rafael says, they ask and comment that it should be two days.

Rafael has also heard from some offices that deal with organizations and with the city of Geneva that all comment with great enthusiasm that the festival was a great success with more variety of genres in music, dance and food. Something very positive is that many see as charm and welcomed the group to sing the national anthem with WORI’s employees and Mrs. Ami Ghazala who is the Superintendent of the Women’s Rights National Historic Park in Seneca Fall NY. By coincidence the day the festival was held on Flag Day 2014 marking the 200th anniversary of the anthem “The Star-Spangled Banner” as part of the Smithsonian Institute “Raise it Up.” That was very moving and there is hope that both the committee and the community continue to work to unite people as one community which is also Rafael Diaz’s goal.

We are very grateful for all the sponsors of this year and the ones continuing from previous years for their cooperation to make this event a great event because for them is that we are putting our efforts to achieve our goal.

Very sincere thanks from the committee to the group that helps me organize and all sponsors, volunteers and the public that was present.

Do not forget the third weekend in June is the traditional annual Geneva Latino Festival. If you want to participate next year please contact me early so you can get your place in it. You can call Mr. Rafael Diaz at (315) 521-8900.
