Violent and Impulsive People

Impact Your Life Positively with the Truths of God

by Noris C. Davis

Proverbs 29:22 “He who is violent and impulsive, causes quarrels and makes many mistakes”

It is very dangerous to live very close to violent and impulsive people. You never know when

they will explode.

Greetings and blessings dear readers. Anger is an outward reaction of violence from within. The

cause of anger certainly has many origins. Many people have been rejected in the past for

family, friends or have gone through circumstances where they were emotionally abused. All

that inner “volcano” of frustration is channeled into outbursts of anger toward others. The violent

or impulsive person is a creator of problems and although he does not want his anger makes

him sin again and again.

Many times we do not know how to control our character. The shocking truth is that with the

Help of God’s Holy Spirit we can do it. Being a Christian is not a title. It is a way of life where we must decide that our helm is the Holy Spirit of God. One thing is to have anger for a moment,

another very different is to give place to the devil so that it put out of control that anger.

If you decide, or if you have already done so, surrender your life to God and live your life

according to His will God will seal you with His Holy Spirit and He will transform your character. Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control; Against such things there is no law”.

If we have accepted Jesus in our hearts and if we are congregating in a church that is guided by

the Bible and we pray and we read the Bible daily we will see the fruits of the Spirit of God in our character. Many discussions begin in a heated way, and can turn into explosions of anger and

physical violence. As Christians, we must be bearers of peace and not of wrath, for God has made us heirs of blessing to give to others blessing.

Examine your character this day. With Christ there is always time to start over. Give Him those situations that make you explode and renounce them in the Name of Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the character of Christ, and your life and that of those around you will be blessed.

Prayer: My God, change my anger for inner peace. Change my reactions so that they manifest

the power of the Holy Spirit in my life. Through Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
