Living Word – June 2013

Dear reader, it is a true privilege for this ministry the opportunity to reach out to you in this manner. We pray for each one of the people who are reading this column and we asked the Lord Jesus to touch your hearts and that his Living Word transforms your way of thinking and living. In this first writing we want to share with you a truth that has transformed me and that has defined who I am in all the areas of my life.

I do not wish to discuss religion; I want to discuss how to have an intimate, unique and true relationship with Jesus Christ.  Why with him?. I want to begin with the fact that the Word of God, is irrefutable, truthful and gives life. That been said, I hope that you carefully read this scriptural text: John 14:6 (NIV) Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. Let us reflect on the first point: I (Jesus) am the way.  Jesus is saying to us that he is the means to obtain or to have access  to the Father, the pathway that allows you to reconcile with the Father, the means towards a free life from the blame of sin, the means to live a life with hope, the way to obtain eternal life.

Jesus clearly establishes that He is the only way and that without him, there is no possibility of obtaining any of these things. He is the way that allows you to have joy in the middle of the pain and the storm. The Lord in his infinite mercy provided the opportunity for us to have all this, not because we deserved it but because he wanted it. The only true alternative for all mankind is to confess and to accept Jesus Christ as your only and true savior, it is the only way you will obtain salvation.
