Overcoming evil desires

Regards dear reader. I hope that you are fill with God’s peace. Remember that God loves you and has plans for you, your family and to all who accept Jesus into their hearts. We also know that there is a spiritual enemy of God who always seek ways for us to act evil and turn away from God. God created us with intelligence and the freedom to make decisions. That truth alone is shocking. God let us make our own decisions. But He also tells us the consequences of obedience and disobedience to Him. The enemy of souls is a fallen angel who knows that his time is short. If we truly love God and we want to see Him some day for eternity, we must defend ourselves and make wise decisions. God advises: 2Corinthians2:11 – Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. We know that the evil desires do not come from God.

Our bad wishes and thoughts don’t come from God. It comes from our human nature and from the enemy of the souls.. What we need is to recognize the areas in which we are weaker to ask God to strengthen us and to not allow ourselves to fall. Some of the areas that we should review are, selfishness. It makes us want to indulge us only. There are other feelings like insecurities, resentment, low self-esteem, the question of whether something is really good or bad, disappointment, lack of faith and many more.

If we let our emotions rule us, we can fall into disobedience to God when temptation comes. If we resist the temptation to look at the shocking truth of God. “BLESSED MAN HOLDING THE TEMPTATION, WHEN THEY RECEIVE THE CROWN WEATHERED … ” ( James 1:12 ). We should live remembering that this world is temporary and not be deceived or rule by Satan or our emotions or our flesh. We should surrender to Jesus and he will strengthen us. We must always seek Jesus. At home, at church and every day. This topic will continued in more details in the future articles.
