I thank God for giving me the privilege of presenting the Word of God to you. In the past months we were sharing a reflection on the biblical text, John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. We started this column, Living Word, with the objective to present the biblical truths and that these will get you to accept, know and love Jesus Christ. Not to have a religious life, full of rituals but to have an intimate relationship with the Savior of souls. The purpose of starting with this Bible verse was to present Jesus, but not only that, it was also to present Him for who He is as the way, the truth and the life. Only through Him we can receive the salvation of our souls. With this article I ask God the Father in the name of Jesus that your heart and your mind will be open to the greatest gift given to mankind, Salvation.
The dictionary defines salvation as liberation from a risk or danger, to get safe. It is defined similarly when someone is declared or proven innocent. The word of God says:
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.
The primary purpose for Jesus coming to this world was, is, and will be, that you and I are saved. How can we be saved?. To be saved we need to believe in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross (Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was beaten for our iniquities, He suffered in our place, and by his wounds we receive peace and we are healed .), you have to believe that His blood cleansed us from sin (Colossians 1:20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through blood of his cross), you have to believe that he is the only way to the Father (John 14:6 Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me).
Isaiah 53.11 says the faithful servant while being innocent, was considered a criminal because he bore the sins of many so these could be forgiven. The salvation of our souls comes through Jesus. Through Him, we were reconciled with God the Father. Through Him, our sins are forgiven. Through Him we are free and not slaves of sin. Dear reader the most important decision of your life is this, accept Jesus as your only Savior, To surrender your life to Him, your thoughts, your talents and your whole self.
